Not all of these are as "quality" as others, but I personally enjoyed them all. There are a couple on this list that fell pray to the "bury your gays" trope, but for the most part, these are books to build folks up, rather than break them down.
Some of these books are the first in series! But to simplify, I'm only including the first book (which in a couple of cases, actually means the book that made it onto the list isn't very queer at all).
So enjoy this shortlist of books I've liked in the last few years.
