Rate Your Music's #1 Movie for Every Year (1892-2017) - Page 2

The best movie of every single year from Rate Your Music's film charts starting with 1892 and ending with 2017. RYM's film chart dropdown only goes down to 1951 but you can get around this by manually editing the URL to see charts for earlier years. Note that there is no chart for 1893, so I took the liberty of selecting the sole non-documentary film mentioned on Wikipedia from that year to fill the gap.
For some reason List Challenges has some films tagged as different years than RYM, resulting in some discrepancies, such as two entries on this list appearing to be from 1908 or the 1895 entry showing as 1897.
