The Golden Raspberry Awards gave out the first Razzie to1980's Village People vehicle 'Can't Stop the Music'... a vehicle which spectacularly crashed and burned. But you know Hollywood has been making stinkers long before that car wreck. Since the dawn of celluloid, schlock movies have clogged the theaters with sub-par writing, editing, sound, set design & special effects. Time has not been kind when it comes to awkward racist and sexist plot points (even in the best of films). Add to the mix, the downright jarring hammy performances of many early actors and you've got a recipe for disaster. Here's my pick of the worst culprits, worthy Razzie contenders one & all. Remember: movies weren't better in the old days, they just disappeared faster from the movie theaters and were never heard from again. In a way, VHS, DVD's, cable networks, and streaming services have made it almost impossible for today's turkeys to die the pitiful death they warrant.
