Roger's List of Essential Albums (This Week)

I placed a lot of restrictions on myself for this list: 1) No Jazz*/Classical, 2) No compilations**/greatest hits, 3) No live albums, 4) No more than three albums per artist, but solo and group work can surpass this.
With all of that in mind, this still feels woefully incomplete and I am sure the moment I post it I'll think of five albums that absolutely should have been included.

*Hot Rats may technically break this one, but I had to include it. I'd need separate lists for just jazz and another for classical.
**Unless the artist predates the LP era.
