Further Confessions of a Bibliomaniac

Books I have bought (many in kindle version) or been gifted in the past six months or so in what I had mistakenly thought was a period of great restraint. On consulting the entry on 'Bibliomania' in Kate Summerscale's 'The Book of Phobias and Manias' (gifted and bookmarked by someone who knows me well) I read this couplet by John Ferrier from his poem 'The Bibliomania' (1809):
"What wild desires, what restless torments seize
The hapless man, who feels the book-disease."
So you see it's not my fault: I have a disease!
