Godzilla Returns acts as a direct sequel to the original Godzilla, ignoring all the films inbetween.
Return of the Pink Panther ignores Inspector Clouseau
Superman Returns ignores Superman III, IV, and Supergirl
Terminator Dark Fate ignores 3, Salvation and Genisys
Texas Chainsaw 3D ignores all but the original
