Shep: Remembering Jean Shepherd

There was a time in the 1960s when a whole bunch of kids (and adults) in the New York Area would tune into WOR Radio at 10:15 Pm and listen to Jean Shepherd talk. We'd never heard anything like it. From there he moved on to Public Television, books, and screen writing, culminating in the now classic film " A Christmas Story". He was more than that one picture; he was a major humorist, a raconteur, and a social critic. For those who tuned in at 10:15 each evening, no explanation is necessary; for those who didn't, no explanation is possible.
