So Called "Metal" Bands That Simply Aren't Metal

If Bon Jovi butt-raped every member of One Direction, and all of these kids later formed a band, it would sound like this pile of cheesy dung. Today's metal scene is inundated with hideous crap designed to sell to 16 year-old teenyboppers who've just grown out of their boy-band phase and are looking for a new identity to fill the void that is their lack of personality. Bands that play generic, mega-commercial music are not metal, period. You want to listen to soft-ass shit that sounds much more like pop than metal? Go ahead and tick as many bands off from this list as you want. Just don't call it metal - that's all I ask, because metal is supposed to be about GIVING A MIDDLE FINGER TO THE MAINSTREAM, not SOUNDING LIKE IT.
