Some Interesting Australian Towns

As a famous Australian poem starts off "I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains ...." Australia is a BIG country - The state of Queensland is 3 times bigger than the state of Texas in the USA, and Queensland is not the biggest state in Australia (that honour goes to Western Australia which itself is 12 times bigger than the United Kingdom). While most of our population resides along the coastal areas, there's still plenty to see and do inland as well. Most of these towns are not well known but are certainly interesting and if you ever get the change to visit, do so. A word of warning - in the outback, there's a lot of distance between towns, so travel safely, take plenty of water and always let someone know where you're going & when you expect to return.
