Some of James's Favorite Books by Women Authors

Just as he title says, these are 100 books( fiction, drama, poetry, non-fiction) that I particularly liked by women whom I admire as writers. Since my area of interest is category or genre fiction, this list leans somewhat in that direction, although mainstream lit and non fiction are represented as well. These are not the only books by women that I have read and liked, nor are these the only women writers I admire; I stopped at 100 to keep the list manageable. Finally, I must shamefully admit that I have yet to read anything by Jane Austen or the Brontes. I have attempted "Northanger Abbey" and "Wuthering Heights", but so far have not been able to finish them .
