When hunky, twenty-year-old heart-throb Heath Ledger from Perth, Australia first came to the attention of the public in 1999, it was all too easy to tag him as a "pretty boy" and an actor of little depth. He spent several years trying desperately to sway this image, but this was a double-edged sword.
He first appeared in a 1991 children's film, "Clowning Around" with an uncredited role at the age of 12 years. His first feature film role would be in 1997 with "Blackrock" and then on he went on to another feature and popular fantasy television series called, "Roar". Then in 1998, Ledger decided to take the plunge in trying his luck in Hollywood, from then on the rest is history but he was taken from us way too early as his incredible talent as only beginning to come to the fore. He has been sorely missed.
