Star Wars Legends - The Scholastic Young-Reader Novels (1998-2010) - Page 2

In 1998, Scholastic Publishing got the rights to make Star Wars novels for the Young Reader demographic. While focusing largely on picture books/activity books, they did try dabbling in chapter books as well. These would really take off with the start of their Jedi Apprentice series, which had an overarching plot and characterization, which went on to spawn several sequel series (the majority of which were written by the indispensable Jude Watson).
They would cease publishing chapter books in 2010, until the buyout by Disney.
