Today, is suicide Prevention Day. September 10, 2025
I am not looking for sympathy, but I personally know how horrible it feels when someone extremely close to you ends their life, and in my case it was my husband.
It's such sadness for that person who dies, and the suffering of suicide survivors (someone whose family member or a friend killed themselves) is so horrendous that words cannot explain the pain felt by everyone.
The guilt and pain felt by family, friends and people who are casual acquaintances is similar to a black hole swallowing up everyone in it's darkness.
Eventually, the darkness subsides more and more over time, but it never goes completely away.
If you need help or know someone who does please reach out. Life always gets better, and for me having Jesus Christ in my life makes me live in the light everyday, for He is the light of life.
The site I received this information from has many programs listed that you can reach out for help.
