My 4th backpacking trip, in the spring & summer of 2013, my longest trip yet: 55 stops, 14 countries. Starting in my favorite city in the world, Istanbul, and basically making my way counterclockwise around the Black Sea, through the Caucasus, the Crimean Peninsula (a year before the Russian annexation and still part of the Ukraine back then) and every country in the Balkans.
