The 25 Most Beloved 19th-Century Novels

This list is not about popularity, I rather wanted to put together a list of classics that are highly cherished by the people who read them.
So I did some research on Goodreads and came up with the 25 classic novels published in the 19th century with the highest average rating (as of July 2022).
Some of these are quite surprising.
I only considered books with over 20,000 total ratings and an average rating of at least 4 stars for this list.
No short stories, poetry, children's books, sequels, nonfiction etc.
Max. 3 books per author.
