Folha published an article with the 25 best books of Brazilian literature of the 21st century. The books were chosen by a 100 different judges, each of whom made a list of their personal top 10, and then the books that received the most votes entered the final list. There was also an extra list, with names that didn't make it, but were mentioned a lot. Out of 77 books originally mentioned in the article, only 33 have been translated into English so far.
If you only speak English and want to diversify your readings, maybe give these books a chance.
(The complete list, in Portuguese, is in my profile)
