This list is in answer to the inquiry posed to the Open AI/Chatbot with Chat GPT's reminder: "...my knowledge cutoff is in September 2021, so any books published after that date won't be included. Please note that this list includes a mix of classic and contemporary murder mystery novels. Keep in mind that there are many other excellent murder mystery books out there as well, but I hope this list provides you with a good starting point."
Also, we know that AI can be limited to "the data they've collected" as it relates to their responses, so titles on this list like "The Godfather" may leave one scratching one's head as to the whether it qualifies as a murder mystery novel. No mystery about it - all mob hits :)
