The Bible and History: Convergence and Contradiction - Page 2

The age old Question - Is the Bible an accurate history of its times? Is it literally true, or is it a blend of myth and metaphor to reveal some deep philosophical truth? Are the people in it, from Abraham to Jesus, real or imaginary? I have tried to create a balanced list that covers both sides of the debate. I've also tried to limit the list to serious scholarship by leading experts, and have consciously omitted the lunatic fringe on both sides. For me personally it's an open, ongoing debate, which is why I created the list in the first place.
