The Bluffer's Guide to Literature - Michael Kerrigan

The "Bluffer's Guide" is a series of short, sarcastically witty guidebooks that enable a Bluffer to give the impression that they are an expert in something highly valued.... like, say, literature.
Michael Kerrigan wrote this one. It's a bit of an idiosyncratic list of books: a lot of prose, a lot of poetry, a smattering of plays, and some diehard books on literary theory right at the end, so you look really clever. Where just an author's name was mentioned, I chose a representative book.
The topics are: Britain, the United States, Post-War, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Rest of the World, a diversity section (1980s-level), and Critical Theory.
Have fun, and look smart.
