The 6 authors whose works are examined closely are Kingsley Amis, Henry Green, Richard Hughes, V.S. Naipaul, Anthony Powell & Angus Wilson. To put their works into context, contemporaneus English works are also discussed, as are books of different eras and those of non-English authors.
Keep in mind that some of the books are regarded as lesser quality examples of an author's work. Earn a bonus point if you have read all of 'A Dance to the Music of Time' (wow!).
