The English Teacher's Humiliation List

After 65 years of literacy and a teaching career that goes into three decades, I present 138 books I STILL HAVEN'T READ. I will say in my defense, however, that I HAVE read Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler, Arthur Conan Doyle, H. G. Wells, Jules Verne, Robert Heinlein, Ursula K. Le Guin, P.D. James, Josephine Tey, Dan Simmons, Stephen King, and a host of others multiple times, and I don't think that I'm the worse for it. So there.
