The Films of Marlene Warfield

Marlene Warfield (b. 1941) is an American actress who made several TV appearances, notably as a Jamaican-born maid on "Maude," and won an NAACP Image Award in 1969 for her performance opposite James Earl Jones in the Broadway debut of "The Great White Hope." But she is perhaps best known for her performance as Laureen Hobbs, the Angela Davis-style Communist revolutionary who becomes a fire-breathing capitalist in the 1976 masterpiece "Network."
