The Films That Defined This Cinephile

The films that defined this cinephile from childhood untill my late teens. Some of the films were VHS we had at home, that I watched over and over (we actually only had Once upon a time in America pt. 1 and I didn't se The other half of it until in my 20's...). Other are the mere memories of the small screening at our town cinema (Lord of the Rings, Neverending Story). Some made a huge impact, like when I watched Seven Samurais as a child, or staying up with my mom watching The Elephant Man. Some scared me. Some became stories retold at school. Were they all any good? Nah! I mean, Red Dawn? Really? Anyway... See it as an exposé of my youth :)
