The Greatest Fiction Books in a New Light - Page 5

This is quite a solid list of "classic" reads. It comprises works of fiction that appear on 7 or more of the 119 "best of" book lists used by the algorithm at thegreatestbooks.org. The top 25 are each on 30 or more lists (books are ranked in descending order of list appearances; books with the same number of appearances are further separated by their original score at the site). This new list uses a snapshot of the site as at mid-February 2019.
This ranking system variant seems to favour novels over drama, poetry & collections of short stories; English over other languages; 20th century over other eras. It tips the balance away from books that originally scored highly from just a single list e.g. that of a Scandinavian jury.
