The Man Who Saw the Future: The Works of Robert A. Heinlein - Page 2

Starting with "Life-Line" , his first published story in 1939, Heinlein dominated the field of SF until his death in 1988. His hard cover "Juvenile Novels" for Scribners ( today they would be called YA books) made SF acceptable for Libraries, and his novels and short stories, along with those of Ray Bradbury, brought SF out of the pulps and into the mainstream in such magazines as Colliers and The Saturday Evening Post. For many of us, there was a time when Heinlein WAS Science Fiction. Here are the books for which he is most remembered.
