This list is a supplement to my 1,000 Greatest Films of All Time; the honorable mentions, if you will. Again, based on the most recent lists from over 30 different sources, but one can say the first 1,000 were truly ranked in order based on my point system. For this Best of the Rest, after #120 or so, it becomes more a listing derived very much from the relative rank of those more rare lists that were longer than 250 movies, and films were "tops" but weighed equally: e.g., Empire, Halliwell, MUBI, Cinema Archives, films101.com. So if you were lookin at the Top 1,000 wondering "where is Grease or Witness or Field of Dreams or Shrek?; or classics like The Birds or Key Largo or Breakfast at Tiffany's?" -they're all here along with Gigli (JK). Amazing how an international list of movies can grow so quickly: so many still to watch! And no one said that Oscar winners are necessarily all GREAT, but yeah, 28 Best Pics are below the 1,000 mark(56 in the Top 1,000; 9 didn't place)
