This is a list of the 86 highest ranking films from 1986 on the new 2023 edition of the TSPDT Greatest Films list. "Blue Velvet" is the very first 1986 film on the list and #87 overall. "Blue Velvet" is the subject of the upcoming April 15, 2023 meeting of The Saturday Film Discussion Group. We might also get the chance to discuss the films of 1986 in general. We are a monthly film discussion group that was formed in SW Ohio in 2018. It works like a book club. You watch the film on your own time. We then meet monthly to discuss the film. We switched our meetings to Zoom in 2020, and thus can now accept members from anywhere.
