This is a list of items of food and drink which either naturally originate from the UK, are commonly found/ grown here or were otherwise invented here, even if some of the latter may also have origins/ other influences from different cuisines (e.g. chicken tikka masala, chicken balti & phaal curries).
At the end of the list I've included some items which are from other world cuisines but are so popular in the UK they've become part of popular culture. There are also fruits & veg which originate from other countries but are mostly grown here (some artificially) & are still very popular.
I've cheated slightly by including a small number of items from the Channel Islands & the Isle of Man; not part of the UK, they are still British Crown Dependencies, so they share a lot of culture & have other close links with the UK. I've also included a few items which were invented in the Republic of Ireland but are also within the culture of Northern Ireland & popular within other parts of the UK.
