The Ultimate Short Stories Collection - Page 3

Short stories can showcase an author's talents and enthrall readers, even in a story as short as 5-10 pages. Their narratives can move at speed, whilst also conveying the full range of emotions and writing techniques. This list showcases stories from a wide range of genres, but I've found that the best short stories tend to be science-fiction or horror stories, genres that, ironically, I don't seem to read much in terms of novels. The list also includes what I consider to be the best collections of short stories, and many specific short stories themselves which I consider to be the best to have ever been written.
