The fifteenth and last in a series of lists focusing on the winners of the many children's book awards of the American Library Association (ALA) and its many affiliates throughout the course of the first hundred years of the Newbery Medal. The YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction is presented annually by YALSA that "honors the best nonfiction book published for young adults (ages 12-18)".
I hope you have enjoyed going through these lists just as much as I had making them. I didn't get all of the awards, and only focused on those printed and published to readers of all ages. I did not go for the ones for video and audio, nor did I go for the Alex Awards, which to me seemed more like an annual top 10 list than a book award.
If you had discovered something new you hadn't heard of, I had done what I wanted to do. I hope to encourage new discoveries to be made, especially with the lesser-known awards. Thanks for checking out this series of lists, and happy reading.
