A Truly Moving Picture promotes positive change, is truthful, moves us, strives to serve the audience, and in some way embraces one or more of the following values: integrity, honesty, truth, hope, tolerance, respect, human dignity, beauty, grace, charm, reconciliation, redemption, honor, sacrifice, courage, spirit, heroism, humility, compassion, faith, fidelity. Winners of the award are chosen by the Heartland Film Society.
