There are rumours that they were born to run. Don't get me wrong, I have a love supreme for much of this music, but don't you want a list to lead you closer to unknown pleasures? The illustrious Volcanic Tongue was a record shop, distribution company, and label based in Glasgow, Scotland. Founded by the writer David Keenan and musician Heather Leigh in 2004 as a mail order website, before opening a physical shop in 2006. Specialising in all forms underground and DIY music, VT was an invaluable window into outer limits of music. Tip of the Tongue was their choice release of the week. Sadly, VT closed in 2016. But the list remains!
