Believe it or not, movies can actually be categorized in the same way we categorize food. First, there's "Fast Food Cinema". Fast food is generally not very healthy, but we still like to eat it to satisfy a certain "in the moment" craving. Similarly, Fast Food Cinema refers to movies that aren't necessarily full of substance and go mainly for style. They do, however, satisfy a craving for action or a good laugh when we need it. They aren't generally considered high quality, but some (Spider-Man 2, John Wick, and Guardians of the Galaxy, to name a few) manage to integrate some substance into their stories and are really well made.
