Continuing from my previous list, this one concerns "Fine Dining" cinema. "Fine Dining" refers to the kind of restaurants where they serve microscopic dishes that you can only see with a magnifying glass. However, there is a lot of delicacy and craftsmanship in the preparation of these dishes. Similarly, movies like these are delicately planned out and crafted. Each shot and edit can be broken down and dissected. Movies like these can be a little pretentious, admittedly, but there are some filmmakers (Stanley Kubrick and Terrence Malick, for instance) who manage to make delicately crafted movies that are still appealing to broader audiences.
