A list from the American Library Association of the 100 most banned & Challenged books from 2010-2019. For those who are unclear on exactly what banned and challenged actually means, let me explain. These 100 books have all been targeted for removal from school curricula, school and public libraries, and any other government funded educational programs. In some states, teachers and librarians can be threatened with arrest for even suggesting that students read them on their own. The majority of these books are children's or YA books, so the purpose is to prevent children and teens from thinking on their own.
