I do appreciate this year's class being diverse but do have a few issues with Devo, Kate Bush and MC5 not making it in. Nice to see more women in the hall though needs to get Cyndi Lauper in there.
Elizabeth cotton was a great folk/blues singer and guitarist who passed away in 1987 in Syracuse, NY. Allen Grubman (entertainment lawyer), Jimmy Iovine (co-founder of Interscope Records and Beats Electronics) & Sylvia Robinson (one half of Mickey & Sylvia and founder of Sugar Hill Records) are in as non-performers.
Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are members of the Time & songwriters/producers for Janet Jackson, Lionel Richie, Klymaxx, Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson, etc and inducted under the Musical Excellence category (same as Judas Priest)
