50 Classic French Films: 1912-1982

From Anthony Slide's book. Marcel Pagnol's trilogy was listed as 1 entry. I listed them separately which is why there are 52 titles. I'm a little ashamed that I haven't seen any of these films, just the musical Fanny based on the Pagnol. Here's a fact-the success of Sarah Bernhardt's Queen Elizabeth in the States helped promote the making of feature-length films as well as laid the foundation for Paramount studios.
