Adventurous Films

Adventure films are centered on an overarching narrative about a (often) active, meaningful act of travel, conquering, or exploration. As a result, narratives are typically developed around a physical journey through a number of significant locations or landmarks that affect the progression of the film's plot and/or the protagonist's psychological journey. While action-heavy moments are not rare, they are typically used to complement the film's tempo or to showcase the location, rather than to serve as the primary emphasis of the film.
