Another Case of Humiliation

I'm jumping on this bandwagon. I've been reading for 70 years now, I made my living by reading, and there are thus many many books I haven't read but in some sense, think I should. In the spirit of this list however I've limited myself to books that are in some way well-known, books that many others have read, the sort of books that make "greatest of" lists. I'm sure I've missed many but there's only so much time. Have fun!
