Books and Their Adaptations

Most of the book and movie/TV/stage play combinations I have read and seen (I'm sure I'm forgetting some from childhood). I've listed my preferred version first, which in the vast majority of cases is, of course, the book, but I do have the occasional controversial opinion :)
