Well! What a year for reading I have had . . .
I knew I had read quite a large quantity of books, but I just did not realise how many.
I had been travelling by train quite a lot last year in order to get to theatre venues, and along with numerous hospital visits . . . .
. . . And I always took a poetry book or two with me to read, which helped bulk up my reading stats.
Some of the other books that I read were only slim volumes and reading 2 or 3 in a day was normal - I actually managed to read 5 books in one day.
There was always a volume or two of short stories to hand for short reading sessions which added to my quota.
As with all my reading, a wide variety of reading material with novels, short stories, plays,.diaries, Non-Fiction . . . .whatever was to hand.
I am aiming for a less intense reading year this year, with some longer reading material added in.
