Cottagcore, popularised through influencers on tumblr, Pinterest and Instagram (particularly throughout the covid-19 pandemic, where some individuals realised they wanted to live a simpler life), is an aesthetic based loosely on the idea of living sustainably in the woodlands and surviving off of homesteaded land in hope of a fairy-lit-dreamland of sage, wisteria and soil hues that many generation-z and late millenials have accustomed themselves with. These individuals may also partake in other aesthetics such as farmcore, fairycore, van life, simple living and sustainable practices but all are different and seperate dependant on who you ask 🍃
