Dark Places: Disturbing Stories of Mystery and Suspense - Page 2

Our maverick English Teacher and genre enthusiast looks at the mystery/suspense field and finds 52 works that truly take a walk among the dark places of human experience. Some are noir classics, some are neo-noir fictions, and some are unclassifiable..Certain authors predominate, primarily because they have staked out this territory as their own. Our compiler would be hard pressed to choose from this list, but if he had to pick one, it would be James Ellroy's "The Big Nowhere".
