Dogme 95 is a filmmaking movement that was purposefully created by Lars von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg, complete with a manifesto. It is basically the single most pretentious thing I have ever encountered in film history and what's more I don't believe that most people have even heard of it or most of these films.
