The following titles are mainly from the Grosset & Dunlap Famous Dog Series witha couple from Dover Publishing's collection 5 Great Dog Novels(ed. Blanche Cirker). True Stories like Canada's "Beautiful Joe" & Scotland's "Greyfriars Bobby", to Jack London & James Oliver Curwood's tales from the North, to series like "Silver Chief" & "Derry". Collies, Terriers, Bouvier des Flandres, Irish Wolfhounds, all sizes & breeds. If you really like dog stories, Jim Kjelgaard & Albert Payson Terhune(who I don't have listed below) were specialists. Spoiler Alert-Keep your tissues handy, especially for "A Dog of Flanders.
