Horror:A Connoisseur's Guide-Pt. 2:Literature - Page 4

Finally made the companion list to the one I already posted on movies. Not just novels, but many short stories, poems and even the odd play is mentioned in Leonard Wolf's awesome book. I tried to find recent editions and collections for the titles mentioned, which was a bit time-consuming. Oh well, if you're going to do a job you might as well do it properly. Again, like my other book lists, I tend to favor Penguin, Oxford, Dover, and especially Wordsworth which put out a great line called "Tales of Mystery and the Supernatural". Wish I could have found pics of editions put out by Arno in the 70's, then I could have proper pictures for the first 2 books! Most short stories & poems are marked "title", unless a suitable pic was already on file. Many stories were also filmed, so check out 2 lists(the other being "the World of Fantastic Films"). The Hephaestus Plague was filmed as "Bug", while the 2 Ray Bradbury stories were part of the tv series based on his works.
