How to Do Better at List Challenges Challenges

I'm usually quite happy with how I place in the average challenge, but it could always be better. Especially when the list has a lot of kids books in it (I grew up in The Netherlands and Scotland, and never came across many on this list).
This list has books that show up on a LOT of lists that I haven't read yet. I tried to stick to ones I may conceivably read one day. Sorry, but you couldn't pay me to read Twilight - or any of it's fanfiction!
