100 books by 100 authors ( one per author) culled from a lifetime of reading. The list is not a "100 greatest" compilation; rather it attempts to give a wide selection of engrossing books that covers both literary and popular fiction. I've tried to balance classics with more contemporary works, but in the end went with personal preferences.
