Jim's Favorite Historical Fiction

Here are 105historical novels and series that I have found to be both historically accurate and compelling as stories. As always, I define historical fiction as having been consciously set by the author in a time period other than their own. Hence, Conan Doyle's "The White Company" is here, but Sherlock Holmes is not.
