Eurythmics were a British pop duo of Annie Lennox & Dave Stewart. They were both previously in The Tourists, a band which broke up in 1980. They released their 1st album, In the Garden, in 1981 to little success, but went on to global acclaim when their 2nd album Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), was released in 1983. The title track was a worldwide hit. The duo went on to release a string of hit singles & albums before they split in 1990. Stewart became a sought-after producer, while Lennox began a solo recording career. After a decade apart, in 1999 Eurythmics reunited to record their 9th album, Peace. The duo have won an MTV VMA for Best New Artist in 1984, the Grammy for Best Rock Performance in 1987, the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music in 1999, and in 2005 were inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame. They've sold >75 million records worldwide. In 2017 & 2018 the group was nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. How many of their songs have you heard???
